STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED: 2x EXTRA STRAIGHT RAIL SECTIONS

This odd poem has been found etched into surfaces across the planet. Some say a rogue labor unit overrode it's governor module and wanders the planet spreading this message.

The faraway lonely whistle of a MagLev's thermal converters has lulled many a young person to sleep with dreams of adventure. "What if I hopped that train? To what exotic destinations would it take me? And, once I arrived, who would I engage in combat with?"

That ride can be a little bit longer now, thanks to the unlocking of this new stretch goal! Each MagLev Rail Starter will now have an additional two (2) straight rail sections. Together, that's twenty (20) inches of  high-voltage railway. Combine with the switch and other rail sections in the Starter to construct elaborate elevated terrain and essential ground-level cover for your battles.

Shown in Neutral, also available in Abandoned.

We've also unlocked the ability to add Containers from our first kickstarter to your pledge. Tossing these classic containers to convention attendees is how we instantly demonstrate the heft and strength of TinkerTurf. We'll chuck a Container, then ask the attendee to place them onto a Cargo Car, or into the MagLev Depot's crane. It's oddly satisfying to put an object onto another object that's engineered to receive it just so.

And even though they are essentially super-sized crates (!), do not be afeared. Scattering a few of these sturdy rectangular objects around your MagLev yard will make it feel more visually "complete", and serve to block out large areas for line-of-sight. Or funnel ground movement into choke points ripe for a massacre. Okay, be afeared. Containers are like super-sized LEGO bricks of death.

And, they're terrific for kit-bashing! Cut a couple linear viewports into one, and you've got yourself a bunker. Place two end-to-end, and they're a mobile-deploy field laboratory. Pile them up and connect them with stairs and walkways from the Elevations set, and they're a residential Stack from a dystopian future.

Thank you so much for spreading the word to drive momentum! We're now approaching SIX FIGURES. Let's break on through to the other side of the next goal.

New Containers Add-On Unlock & Stretch Goal Unlocked: Moar Wall
over 3 years ago – Thu, Jan 28, 2021 at 11:11:20 PM

NEW CONTAINERS ADD-ON UNLOCKED!!!

We've decided based on customer demand that we're going to unlock the Cargo Containers Series 1 add-on now at the $80k mark, then the Scatter Cover at the $90k, then finally the Industrial Starter total unlock at $100k.  What are Cargo Containers Series 1?  Why new skins on our original containers of course.  Shown here in Neutral Theme.

3 new container skins to grace your battlefields and add visual variety. Shown in Neutral, also available in Abandoned.

Three (3) of these come a set for a low, low price of $15.  1x Kessen Container, 1x GDF Military Container, 1x MedContainer.  They block line of sight, they carry goods, and they look good doing it.  And who knows, maybe they have friends later in the campaign with even more cool skins...

STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED: MOAR WALL

Long thought to be nothing more than a sailor's tall tale, the legendary moar wall is in fact a real aquatic creature hailing from the icy--

Hold on, I'm getting a note. That's a Narwhal? I see. Is it really real? It is.

Thanks to your efforts--and wholly independent from anything to do with medium-sized seaborn mammals--the Moar Wall stretch goal has been unlocked. Every Perimeter Wall bundle pledge and Perimeter Wall set pledge and add-on will now include one (1) additional wall section and two (2) straight stanchions. That's seven (7) additional inches of reinforce ceramsteel "DO NOT ENTER" for your battlefields.

New wall pieces shown in Abandoned visual theme.

More stretch goals await.

Stretch Goal Unlocked: New Crates & New Stretch Goals
over 3 years ago – Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 07:42:42 PM

Crates.

The mysterious crates. Shown here in both Neutral and Abandoned visual themes.

No one knows what they are, or where they came from. Only one thing is certain: they are harbingers of doom. Old soldiers become old soldiers because they heeded the whispers of the veterans who came before them: "if you suddenly notice that you're standing in an area with a bunch of crates scattered around, safeties off, it's about to go down."

Inscrutable in reason or purpose, at least crates are good for one thing: granting cover bonuses. Thanks to your efforts every Tanker & Crate Container pledge (and add-on) will now include a medley of six potentially-lifesaving crates, perfectly sized to fit within the Crate Container. No mere generic cubes, the 2 small, 2 medium, and 2 large crates feature corporate branding from TinkerHouse Games's own original sci-fi setting (soon to be a major episodic anime series on Netflix*). Thank you for claiming another stretch goal. You're advancing smartly; bounding overwatch. Let's set our sights on the next objective!

*If Netflix contacts us, and offers reasonable terms.

NEW STRETCH GOALS REVEALED

Speaking of next objectives, let's take a look at what's on the horizon.

$80,000   1x Extra Wall   &   Further Industrial Starter Unlock

At this threshold Perimeter Wall sets get one (1) extra wall section and two (2) extra stanchions to expand their perimeters.  These are included in all Perimeter Bundle rewards, as well as Perimeter Wall add-ons.  In addition, we can remove the limited count on Industrial Starters available in this kickstarter campaign.

$90,000  2x Extra Straight Rail Sections   &   Containers Unlock

At this threshold MagLev Rail Starter sets get two (2) extra straight rail sections to expand their industrial railways with.  In addition, we will make Container sets from the first release available in this campaign as an add-on.

$100,000   1x Destroyed Wall  &  Scatter Cover Unlock

At this threshold Perimeter Wall sets get a new piece, one (1) destroyed wall section.  Maybe the wall started the scenario destroyed?  Maybe it got destroyed by a tactically deploy shape charge your demolition specialist used while taking heavy fire from the enemy, but his steadfast and efficient work in the face of daunting odds allowed his team mates to storm the compound.  Who's to say, it's your destroyed wall.  Do what you want with it.  These are included in all Perimeter Bundle rewards, as well as Perimeter Wall add-ons.  In addition, we will make Scatter Cover sets from the first release available in this campaign as an add-on.

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Personnel Gate Wall Segment
over 3 years ago – Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 03:31:55 PM

Another day, another stretch goal unlocked!

Shown here both closed on the left, and open on the right. Only 1 wall segment comes with each Perimeter wall set.

Thanks to your mighty efforts every Perimeter Bundle will now include a Personnel Gate Wall Segment. Traditionally called a "sally port", these person-sized portals were placed in castle walls to allow defenders to sneak out and counterattack without having to expose the entire complex to danger by opening the main gate. You can place it on an outer wall and use it for that purpose, or as a security checkpoint. Or, with enough Wall Segments you could build an outer vehicle yard and inner courtyard, and use the Personnel Gate for interior passage between the two areas. Or, place the Personnel Gate right along the board edge, and use it as the entry point to an off-board lab or control room objective.

Thanks to this Stretch Goal unlock, all Perimeter Bundles will include one (1) Personnel Wall Gate. The wall segment securely attaches to the other segments in the Perimeter Bundle and will share the same color theme as your pledge.

Now, pick yourselves up and Sally Forth! More stretch goals await!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Adjustable Platforms for SatComm Tower
over 3 years ago – Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 12:16:13 AM

They say it's good to s t r e t c h and we couldn't agree more. Thanks to your support our first stretch goal for TinkerTurf SciFi Release 2.1  has unlocked: adjustable platforms for the SatComm Tower.

TinkerTurf is known for verticality, and these adjustable platforms are engineered to precisely line up with any of the ramps, platforms,  ladders, catwalks and bridge elevations from our previous Kickstarter. Each platform attaches simply and securely to specific points on the SatComm Tower's support columns, so you can rearrange your level design between battles--or even adjust them during a battle, like a firefight freight elevator. Knocking down this stretch goal means every SatComm Tower will come with two platforms.

As a reminder, we recently added the ability to add Industrial Starters and MagLev Depots to your pledge, so you can get terrain from this Kick and our previous Kick in the same shipment. If you don't want to wait, we still have a limited amount of Industrial Starter stock available for immediate shipment in our Web Store. Thank you so much for pushing this Kick through our first stretch goal. Let's all keep sharing and talking about these dynamic new pieces of full-color terrain.
